Electricity Consumption, Costs & Efficiency

Data and information developed through working group processes under the Cape & Islands Renewable Energy Collaborative will be used as a basis for developing this section.

Overall electricity consumption continues to grow along with costs, even though efficiency gains are being made in a number of sectors. Some consumption and cost data for Cape Cod developed for the "Cape Cod 2020: Sustainability Indicators Project" are available here (PDF).

This website is being developed through the Cape & Islands Renewable Energy Collaborative (CIRenew). Its framework was created under a community planning grant award from the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC). The Clearinghouse provides a central location for the collection, classification, and distribution of data, information, and tools addressing energy supply and use in the Cape & Islands region, both now and in the future.
