Integrated Infrastructures
Water supply, wastewater treatment, transportation, communications,
waste management, and other physical infrastructures consume large
amounts of energy. Integrated infrastructures incorporate cleaner
and green energy technologies to reduce both out-of-pocket costs
and true costs while delivering vital services to residents and
businesses.
Many Cape towns are evaluating wind turbine installations to help
power water pumping and wastewater management facilities. Cleaner
fuels are being used by local transit authorities. This section
will highlight integrated infrastructures and opportunities in the
Cape & Islands region.
